Small Groups
The Christian life is meant to be a shared life. We are called to encourage one another to love and good deeds (Heb. 10:25), to carry one another’s burdens (Gal. 6:2), and to exercise our spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ, the church. We have found a smaller group context than our Sunday gatherings to be essential for our members in living out the “one anothers” of Scripture.
Grace Covenant Church calls these groups of 10 to 20 individuals “Home Groups”. These groups meet two or three times a month to ask one another about the challenges of our daily lives. Our goal is to seek and find, through prayer and Bible study, how God is working in us and through us as we face the tests of life. This involves not only prayer, counsel, and encouragement, but also helping one another with practical needs such as meals for a family with a newborn or networking to help an individual locate a job. The groups are strategically located geographically so that members can become inter knit in one another’s lives resulting in fun, informal get-togethers and the formation of long-term friendships.
Children’s Ministry
It is our goal that every child who participates in our ministry grows to have an accurate understanding of the Gospel. Each Sunday we offer classes for children 1 year old through 4th grade.
Our teaching staff is composed primarily of the parents of our church who serve on a rotating basis. We find that our parents have a vested interest in the quality of teaching and do an excellent job in the classroom. We invite you and your children to join us on Sunday morning!
Youth Ministry
The intent of all programs is to see the Gospel applied in the lives of teenagers and to cultivate spiritual fruit that results in teens who worship God, live in obedience to His Word and passionately proclaim the Gospel.
We believe that parents have primary responsibility for the biblical training and discipleship of their children through the teenage years. Parents have the greatest influential role in the forming of Christian character in the lives of their teens. Effective parenting should seek to guide their youth into membership, service, and fruitful involvement in the local church. Pastoral care is offered by coming along side parents to equip them in effectively preparing their teens for life as mature, God-honoring adults. The responsibility of the church is to support and equip parents as they seek to direct their children.
Single Focus
Single Focus is the singles community of Grace Covenant Church. The name expresses a conviction that God does not intend the single years to be a time of spiritual complacency and passivity. Rather, he calls us to focus on Christ, grow in grace, and pour our lives into the church.
Our hope is to grow as a community of gospel-centered men and women. We try to do this through small-group meetings, service projects, and through the faithful direction of the preached Word of God.
